The New Mexico Geological Society supports geoscience students in New Mexico and their research in several ways including scholarships, awards, discounts, and subsidies that, combined, exceed $50,000 per year. Funds for these awards are administered by the NMGS Foundation with an endowment established from generous contibutions by several benefactors and from our membership.

Students attending qualified New Mexico institutions and studying Earth Sciences in New Mexico are eligible for our numerous scholarships, that are awarded at the Annual Spring Meeting and Fall Field Conference (see details: .pdf or .doc formats).
